Andrew Clarkson has been a physiotherapist for 25 years. He has a Masters Degree in Orthopaedic physiotherapy and is a titled APA Sports Physiotherapist.
Andrew’s special interests are the management of knee injuries, in particular patellofemoral knee pain, and post-surgical knee rehabilitation; shoulder pain and post-operative shoulder problems and spinal rehabilitation. In particular, Andrew believes strongly in educating people as to the causes leading to their problems and the ways in which people can assist in helping themselves.
Andrew has worked at the SA Sports Medicine Centre since 1987 and is currently the physiotherapist working with the Oakdale Netball Club (SANA).
Andrew has previously worked with the Sturt Football Club and the Australian Beach Volleyball programme and State Hockey programmes.
Andrew enjoys running, playing keyboard in his band and drinking fine wine!

Jim Mack
Jim Mack is an APA Sports Physiotherapist with 29 years clinical experience. He has extensive sports physiotherapy experience, having worked with the Adelaide Football Club (AFL), Adelaide Thunderbirds and Matrics Netball Clubs (SANA) for many years. Jim has lectured on the Level 3 Sports physiotherapist training programme and is currently a post-graduate tutor at the University of South Australia.
He has a special interest in lumbopelvic and hip problems, ribcage, feet and elbows. He does however treat anything but leaves the tricky hands and jaws to the experts - Helen and Lynne.

Helen Burfield
Helen has worked at Adelaide Sports Physiotherapy for over 10 years and has been a physio for over 20, she is a partner in the practice, and Helen has a post graduate diploma in upper limb and hand rehabilitation.
As well as treating general musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, Helen’s expertise lies in the area of hand and upper limb rehabilitation. She treats all types of postoperative hand fractures and conditions as well as soft tissue injuries. These may include carpal tunnel problems both pre and post operative, De Quervain’s tenynovitis, other hand tendonitis troubles, trigger fingers and over use injuries. Shoulder and neck conditions are also in her area of specialty.
Helen makes many types of splints and supports using a variety of materials from thermoplastics to leather and neoprene.
She also has a keen area of interest in treating tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis/extensor tendonosis. She has developed a new type of brace for this condition and along with her business partner Jim Mack a new way of treating these often stubborn conditions.

Matt Belton
Matt graduated from the University of South Australia in 2001 and has worked at the South Australian Sports Medicine Centre since mid 2009.
Matt's experience includes working in Outpatient Departments of Public/NHS Hospitals in Tasmania and the United Kingdom, as a Physio for the Metropolitan Police in London and more recently in private practice in Adelaide.
His interests include treating lumbopelvic/hip conditions and sporting injuries, while attempting to avoid injury himself when running around the football field!

Daniel Walkley
Daniel has been working at Adelaide Sports Physiotherapy since 2008. He has worked within local football and basketball teams both in South Australia and Interstate.
Daniel is also a qualified Medical Sonographer specialising in Musculoskeletal imaging and balances his time between Adelaide Sports Physiotherapy and Medical Imaging. He combines this imaging experience with sound hands-on evidence based practise in physiotherapy.
Daniel currently works from South Terrace, Adelaide.
Jo Richardson
Jo's work involves outpatient treatment of pains, strains and sporting injuries as well as the treatment of patients presenting with back and neck complaints. Home exercises form an essential part of her approach as well as hands-on techniques of massage, manual therapies and electrical modalities.
Jo also works with an orthopaedic surgeon assisting in the post operative rehabilitation of his inpatients at a private hospital, and consults at a large aged care facility assessing and treating the residents. She conducts home visits for those patients who are unable to attend the clinic.
Having been a triainer for the Adelaide University Football Club for over 20 years, Jo has vast experience in strapping, acute injury assessment and rehabilitation.
Jo is a small boat sailor, runner and cyclist and is a memebr of the Adelaide Sailing Club, Hash House Harriettes and Bicycle SA.

Lynne Haysman
Lynne graduated from Physiotherapy in 1980 and since then has sought to expand her knowledge through The Feldenkrais Method (1991) and Acupuncture (2003). Physio Plus was opened in 1987 with a vision of quality hands-on treatments combined with a self-help approach. Helping people understand their problems and be able to take control is a primary concern of Lynne's. Lynne's main interests lie in her Temporomandibular expertise, neck, headaches and posture, back programs and client relations. Lynne's hobbies include reading, gardening, experiencing food, wine and gym.
Lynne currently works from South Terrace, Adelaide.

Sandy Kleinschmidt
Sandy is a Sports Medicine Doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries that arise from both competitive and non-competitive exercise.
He also treats personal medical conditions that may impact on an individuals ability to exercise.
Since graduation from medicine in 1991 Sandy has undergone post graduate training in Radiology (including musculoskeletal ultrasound), General Practice and Sports Medicine.
As part of his practice Sandy can perform point of care musculoskeletal ultrasound to aid in the diagnosis and management of sports/musculoskeletal injuries.
He is also certified to perform diving medicals.
Sandy currently works with the Sturt Football Club (SANFL) and is a lecturer/on the Council for Sports Medicine Australia (SA Branch).
Dr Klenishcmidt's overall aim is to provide an accurate diagnosis and management plan to enhance the individuals return to sport, physical performance and ultimately a healthier active lifestyle.
Rick Daniels has been a massage therapist since 1994.
Rick is currently or has been actively involved in cricket, basketball, football, soccer, table tennis, tennis, indoor cricket and netball, beach volleyball as well as being a retired State League player and coach and is well versed in treating the needs of sporting participants. His expertise however extends to treating a wide range of patients including Olympic/professional/celebrity athletes through to the person who has a desk job with a stiff neck.
